Here are some Padres random news and rumblings:
1. Luis Durango and Emesto Frieri were called up from AA yesterday. Luis Durango stole 44 bases for the Missions this year, and Emesto Frieri was 10-9 with a 3.59 ERA. Here is a picture of Frieri. 
It should be fun watching these guys in the last couple weeks of the season. Cesar Ramos was also called up earlier this month.
2. The Padres have won 6 straight series! They are playing terrific right now. Even though they lost to the Diamondbacks yesterday, I still think the Padres can take the next 2 games and win the series.
3. (Not really Padres news). The Packers won their NFL season opener 21-15 on Sunday night. It was a great game for the Packers! They were down 15-13 with 2 minutes left, but then Aaron Rodgers threw a 50 yard touchdown pass to win the game! Go Packers!!!!!
4. The Padres honored the Park View Little Leaguers by hanging up two banners of them at PETCO Park. They also let the little leaguers take some batting practice at PETCO Park.
5. Finally, I am really sorry I haven't been able to read all of the great blogs here on MLBlogs. I will try to comment on as many people's blogs as much as I can!

John: Your Padres have won 6 straight series? Wow. They really are tearing it up! I hope they contend next year. I love callups. They are so exciting. Hopefully, the guys the Padres just called up will open many eyes...
